Matthew Lewis, Parvinder Shergill, and Kayleigh-Paige Rees Lead Comedy-Drama ‘Touché’

Renowned for his portrayal of Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter series, Matthew Lewis is set to star in the new UK indie comedy-drama ‘Touché,’ alongside Parvinder Shergill and Kayleigh-Paige Rees. This unique film, centered around the world of fencing, explores themes of diversity and female empowerment.

Set to film this summer in London, ‘Touché’ is a collaborative production between Shergill’s Pinder Productions and Rees’ Raspberry Films. The narrative follows Deep (Shergill), a struggling British South Asian woman who embarks on a journey of self-discovery through fencing. Rees portrays Kate, a fencing champion resistant to accepting the new member, while Lewis plays Tom, who forms an unexpected friendship with Deep and conceals a significant family secret.

Julianna Revesz from Knightsbridge Fencing Club is the fencing consultant, ensuring authenticity in the film’s depiction of the sport.

Matthew Lewis continues to build his impressive resume with recent roles in the BBC Comedy ‘Avoidance’ and British dramas like ‘Happy Valley’ and ‘All Creatures Great and Small.’ Parvinder Shergill, who wrote, produced, and starred in the ITVX short ‘Kaur,’ has also been seen in ‘Coronation Street.’ Kayleigh-Paige Rees is known for her role in the ITV and PBS drama ‘Sanditon’ and has been working on a Russia-Ukraine War documentary titled ‘We Are Home,’ narrated by Stephen Fry.
